Manifesto

Independent by design

We build for people who notice the details, bringing thoughtful interaction, clear structure, and technical craft into the same product

Quality starts beneath the interface

Every interaction rests on decisions users may never see. Clear models, durable architecture, and careful APIs make software more reliable, coherent, and easier to evolve.

We invest in those foundations because engineering quality is product quality. The work may remain invisible, but the result appears in every detail.

We solve our own problems

We begin with friction we know firsthand. Close context helps us distinguish recurring needs from passing novelty and gives us a concrete standard: the solution should be useful enough that we want to keep using it ourselves.

Solving our own problems does not mean designing only for ourselves. As the work develops, we listen, test assumptions, and make room for the different ways others experience the same problem.

We share the reasoning

We will write to make the reasoning behind our work visible. The blog will explore the decisions, tradeoffs, and lessons that shape our products and foundations – not only the finished results.

Topics will follow the work: language ergonomics, API design, functional programming, project infrastructure, Swift, and The Composable Architecture.
